The famous email never sent

Franz Kafka

He's one of the greatest novelists our planet has ever produced. But we could only see 10% of all his novels and works.

Why?

Because of his self doubt he burnt 90% of all his lifetime works.

And you know, his story reminds me of a similar fear that all digital writers have…

The FEAR of pressing the publish button.

Many many months ago you wrote an email (thread, or post) and YOU still read it everyday. Fine tune it. Want to share it with your friends and readers but there's a bluebird inside your heart who holds you back. He says it's not good enough. It’s not the “right time” now. Wait until next week, I will perfect the ending and then show it to the world.

I'm guilty of doing this myself, and I have to fight with this daily.

Should I publish, should I not?

And manytimes when this question comes to my mind…

I think of Kafka.

Even though he was the ONE of the greatest writers, we never got to see 90% of his works.

What if there was a hidden masterpiece among that 90%?

We never KNEW, and we NEVER will.

So don't let the masterpiece you're writing remain unpublished. And never get to the recognition it deserved from the world.

Hit the publish button today.
