Gymrat spills email list building secrets btwn sets.
Last week I sent a post in X.
It was about how I have less than 10 email readers, but I still send daily emails.
(the lesson was to focus on what you can control, forget what you can't control).
It resonated with many folks. And they also left their lovely comment on it. But there was one cocky comment that stood out in my eyes.
Here it is (along with my comments to follow):
GYMRAT: Yo bro...I'll be straight up and disagree. You can control the amount of people in your list. Simply putting more effort into it. Giveaways/Lead Magnets CTA's ETC... Used to believe I couldn't control my followers or email list but I can... Just put more effort into the right action.
(one comment wasn't enuff for his soul, he further sent a new comment)
GYMRAT: While everyone is giving you their "Congrats bro". I just said the honest truth...or well my honest truth.

Interesting comment.
And to find out who he was, I clicked on his profile. Now if I remember correctly his bio said he was a marketer, but his posts showed he was a GYMRAT.
Anyways,
Now my honest opinion about his comments:
Frankly, he is right about everything he said. You can control the amount of readers in your list. You can also increase the numbers with lead magnets, giveaways, and ctas…
But the thing is:
If he read my post carefully, he would have noticed that I was silently promoting my email list.
And guess what?
It worked.
That post brought in almost 5 new readers (which is a BIG number considering my whoopingly small followers count).
And don't forget:
It only took me less than 3 minutes to write that post.
I did it all without giving any cta, giveaway, leadmagnet, blueprint, growth hack (or whatever new ninja name they have for it these days).
No doubt, they are all good techniques.
But if only most marketers open their eyes to see how sending a simple post can silently pull new readers into your list.
And you know what this reminds me of?
This reminds me of a book I read that revealed 50+ ways to increase your email list size.
Can you imagine?
FIFTY PLUS WAYS to bring new readers and buyers. And sadly most marketers are only aware of a few like leadmagnets, and giveaways. And sadly the same is also true for writing email copy. Most copywriters have no clue how ocean-deep copywriting game is...
But luckily with the help of my A-List copywriting mentors, I've been learning many little-known ways of writing persuasive copy.
Now, I can PROUDLY say that even though I have a lot to learn, I'm still miles ahead of most copywriters out there. So if you're looking for a hired gun who can write persuasive emails for your readers (by using the techniques used by A-List copywriters), then drop me a dm in X:

That's all for today,
I will see you tomorrow with something totally unexpected...
Until then, keep writing daily emails.
