How many links in one email?
Yesterday when I was in my room, I googled and youtube this question.
"How many links to put in one email?"
Many interesting replies from different marketers popped up.
Some said you should aim for 2-3 links, some others said you should try to add fewer than 5 links, and some creepy marketers even said that you should add no links in your value emails, but rather add links when you send them a sales/pitch email.
All had different opinions.
And when I glanced over the comments to see what others have to say about links. I found that many marketers were anxious about how many links to add to their email.
Me?
I don't care about how many links.
I don't try to add one, two, three, (or even hundred) links when I write emails.
I just sit down, open my notepad, and write. And, when I finish writing my emails, I re-read them and wherever it makes sense, I segue to the pitch, and put a link.
That's it.
I just put my links wherever adding a link feels like a natural flow of the email conversation.
Sounds simple?
Yep, I try to keep it simple.
Now it doesn't matter, even if I have already added a few links in the email. I'll still add more links if it feels natural to my eyes.
===
NOTE: Sometimes (in some rare cases) when adding a link in the body of the email doesn't feel natural, I go for the plan B:
I pitch in the PS.
For example, in P.S I would say something along the lines of:
If you're looking for a hired gun who can write eyegasmic emails and sales letters for your readers that make them open their wallets and pay you money, then drop me a DM @rohitarjel in X (formerly twitter)
(By the way, there’s another example in the PS of this email as well)
===
Now back to the main reason why I add links this way.
I do it because it matches my overall philosophy of (write like you talk) emails.
Yep.
I try to keep my emails like a real conversation because I don't wanna look and/or read like a creepy marketer who sends emails to znatch money from his readers by adding links all over the emails.
Now, of course… I'm not saying my way to add links is the RIGHT way.
You have the freedom to choose any method that you want.
If you add links the way I do it and don't get results as expected, try some other method. Maybe they may give you the results that you expect to achieve.
Moral of the story?
Try and test.
Don't believe any marketing tactic before you try, test, and see the results of it working (in your favor).
That's all for today,
Until next time,

P.S. Today is sunday, and every sunday morning, I go for a long run. And I'm writing this email after I returned home from the run. Believe me, I'm dog-tired right now. That's why I didn't felt creative enough to write an interesting segue to pitch my offer in the body.
But I'm gonna shamelessly use the PS to pitch anyway...
Here we go:
If you're tired of sending emails that land in the spam folder. Or emails that don't sway your readers to open their wallets and pay you money... then maybe it's time to change a few strategies and get a hired gun to write your emails.
You can go to X (formerly twitter) and drop me a message @rohitarjel so I can help you write "wallet-opening" emails for your readers.
