Hypocrisy of digital products.
Many many moons ago...
I was reading an email from a very famous email marketer. But as I was reading I swiftly scrolled down the page to see what he was promoting in the end.
And I saw this legal language down there…
I’m paraphrasing it:
Efforts have been made to accurately represent the information. We don't provide a guarantee that you can earn money or replicate the success, and so on...
(This ain’t new. I have seen such language in other biz opp products too).
But it is pure hypocrisy.
Why?
Because the claims, promises, and exaggerations he makes in their emails are exactly the opposite.
I mean, he provides claims that you can replicate his success. You can earn as much money as he (or any of his students) earned. But only to cleverly say something in the end that takes all the responsibility off your shoulders - is pure hypocrisy.
Now, I know there might be many legal reasons behind.
But still…
I hypocritical to say one thing in your email. But say the exact opposite thing in some “legal language” to protect your azz.
All for today,
