Lazy copywriters and marketers will never make it big.
Yesterday, I shared a post on twitter.
It was about not preaching ideas of big personal brands like (dan koe, andrew tate, and alex hormozi).
Why?
Because if you preach their ideas. You're not building your brand, you’re building theirs.
But the following response popped up in the comments.
Here it is (along with my opinions thereafter).
Actually, if you're copying the ideas and principles, it can benefit you more than creating your own.
Also, it takes the least effort to just do what's already working.
===
My response?
Welp,
If you are for the short game, then copy others.
But if you are here for the long game, then you gotta find your unique ideas.
Why?
See, making big personal brands is no lazy man job. You can’t copy someone else big ideas saying “it’s least effort”.
Sure their ideas work. And it will get you new attention and audience too.
But in the long run...
Nobody will take you seriously as you’re picking something else big idea.
For example:
If I revolve my brand around escaping the matrix, then I know I will get a lot of attention. But you know what? No matter, how big I get people always think I’m wannabe Andrew Tate - because he started this whole matrix thing.
This example reminds me of lazy copywriters.
The ones who think they can make it big in copywriting by swiping and stealing from top copywriters.
Again (like that example):
Maybe you can do it in the short run, but if you’re here for the long game then this is the wrong way.
Moral of the story?
Read the subject line again.
