The most simple, tiny, and timeless writing investment you'll ever make.

You will fall into one of these clubs:

1) You have already made this investment

2) You have not yet made this investment

And if you fall in the latter club...

Then believe me, this one simple, cheap, timeless investment will benefit you emotionally, mentally, (and yes) financially for the rest of your writing career.

Also:

I would suggest every writer - no matter how new, amateur, or seasoned he/she is... must happily make this one tiny investment.

OK, this should be enuff build-up.

Now let me pull the curtains...

Are you ready?

Here it is:

I'm talking about a stopwatch.

(slow claps)

You know...

Every time I sit down, crack open my laptop to write an email... I set a 15-minute timer on my stopwatch.

(Btw, the timer is set right now too)

And once I hit go...

Even if, I have no clue about the opening.

The body.

OR how should I end this email.

My hands start writing...

Now, I don't know if there's any science behind this phenomenon, but when I see the time ticking closer to zero... I can't help but make words whip through my hands.

If you use a stopwatch, then you know what I'm mean.

And if you don't use a stopwatch then also you will know what I'm talking about after you start using a stopwatch.

Either way, the fact is:

Stopwatch is the best investment.

That's all for today,

Rohit Arjel
